Healthy Healing...A must read book! Extra credit Blog.

I think everyone should have a chance to read Linda Page's Healthy Healing book. This book is a self-Healing book for everyone to be his/her own Herbal Pharmacist. This book is about herbal formulas, herbal food combinations . Pages' Healthy Healing book is about detoxing any part of the bodies systems in a natural way by the use of natural foods. The remedies in this book and are length and give you detailed information on what a person needs to buy and how to use the proper food combination to help anything from a headache, blood detox, vaccinations, and skin problems. Ladies, did you know you can do your own home fertility test by licking a tiny slide and viewing crystallization patterns under a microscope? This list definitely goes on and on. Another reason why I love this book is the fact that Linda goes into detail on telling why you need certain vitamins, food combinations, and how to properly make these work for you. Although it does takes some time to read and figure it out, it has huge rewards for anyone that starts this process. My favorite parts of the Healthy healing book is the types of detoxes. But there's so much I haven't yet begun to look look at, yet. If you are like me and don't mind spending $35 to educate yourself about natural healing remedies, go out and buy Linda Page's book called "Healthy healing", a Guide to Self-Healing for Everyone. Your life might depend on it.

8th and final blog

My experience with blogging has been positive.Bbut in all reality I dont see myself using blogger in the future because it time consuming and I am not one to sit at the computer and read/write blogs. Although I did enjoy reading what others had to say in the classroom using blogger and it was a way to get to know someone else in a different way. Some peole are kinda shy. If we hadn't used blogger.com for this class I would of never had a reson to try something new, something different. As you can see using blogger didn't kill me and only made me check this off my list of things to do before I die, haha. I have read what others write in the yahoo news and there are some interesting and funny people out there on this planet, and now I can honestly say "Hey I blogged before!" I hope everyone had a positive experience like I did using blog. But it's time to go and write my extra credit blog, it's worth 20 points so why not?

Stress Reduction technique

The stress reduction technique that I have tried in the past is called Transcendental Meditation (TM) founded by a man named Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1950's. TM is simple,  effortless mental practice for 15-20 minutes twice a day while sitting in a chair quietly and comfortably with the eyes closed. TM exercises the critical prefrontal cortex of the brain-to make the brain healthier, more intergrated, and better able to function together as whole. Your looking for "restful alertness." The TM technique develops the total brain, increasing creativity, intelligence, and improving decision making and problem solving abilities. TM also has other health advantages too. TM reduces high blood pressure, hypertension, high cholesterol, stroke, and atherosclerosis. Also, Tm is not a "belief" or a life changing practices, such as church.

I have tried using Tm and i have found it did relax me and settled my mind and relaxed my thought process, kinda like taking a small break out of any busy day. After my 20 minutes, which seemed a lot longer, I felt refreshed and had a little more energy. I also felt as if I was more productive the rest of the day and with a more energy. My body felt more relaxed after I the first week of doing TM twice a day and  mentally I felt better after the second week. I'm sure everyone is a little different. So go onto the web and type in Transcendental Meditation and look for the many links and check it out. It does take a little time to get the hang of it and I too am still trying to achieve this goal of the full practice of TM.

Kids off Drugs

As a parent I believe it's your complete responsibility to keep your child safe from ever danger they face in life, even when they are old enough to leave home. When a child is growing up they face many obstacles that can lead them down the wrong path. Yes, the schools have DARE to teach the children the dangers of drugs but as a parent you need to go beyond that and explain to the kids in greater detail. After thinking about how I would teach them about the dangers I think I would be 100% honest with them and tell them exactly the types of drugs and how bad they are for you. This also goes for cigarettes too. I'm thinking that doing these little lessons in life would be great to start as soon as the child takes notice and asks questions about drugs or ask why "why is that guy acting funny?" Rather than tell a kid "you better not do drugs!", but to simply tell them in a calm manor would be more effective in the long long. Going beyond the school system education on the dangers of drugs and have some 1-on-1 time with your child would be the best and most effective way to keep a kid safe from the dangers of drugs.

5lovelanguages

As I was taking the this test I could tell by the 5th question what my results were going to be. I already knew I like the physical touch and words of affirmation, which I scored 8 on both. For quality time I scored a 9 and i knew I was going to score a zero with gift giving. Acts of service was a 5. I really didnt find anything new about myself with the test but it did comfirm what I already knew. My thoughts about this activity is I wish it was a longer test because it went by so fast. Maybe 50 questions would be better.

Smithmag 6 words

So I went to the web site smithmag.netsixwords. I picked the tab that says planet because we are watching some videos for class and how bad it is polluted. Trash Island was the main concern personally. So what I posted in six words was "My name is Earth, please help" because the Earth is in bad shape with more ways than then Trash Island. It was easy to navigate through the web site and took all about six (haha) minutes to get on and make a post. There are other tabs to choose from too. It was kinda funny to see some of the other post on there and the one-liners some people come up. Like i said, it was fast and easy to do and Im not all into being on the computer everyday. Good luck and have fun checking it out.
